Housing, It gets so exciting when the time comes to buy a hutch for your expecting bunny all the different options and cute designs, although it is super important you choose wisely for your bunny to make sure they have enough room.

A lot of your commercial hutches are way to small. Ideally, you want them living indoors with supervised play time outside daily. Although that’s not for everyone, they need a super large and roomy hutch and free roam in or outdoors daily. Whether you have them out all the time and in hutch at night that’s up to you.

Rabbits must receive daily exercise as they are super active and LOVE to play! They can not live in small 1 metre cages 24/7 it is not ethical. Large hutches, with large runs are essential. Avoid metal hutches as they will heat up and over heat your bunny.

You will be ideally looking at hutches over 1.2 metres preferably 1.6 metres, even with that size they MUST come out daily for multiple hours to exercise. Large wire puppy pens are great to make a larger permanent area for bunny if you can not find a suited hutch or have a safe area to let bunny run.

If you can not provide a suitable hutch and pen, a rabbit is not for you!​
